Flying!

Today I got to go for a fly in the aeroplane!! I went out with Sean to find some bulls & check a few windmills. Here you can see a dam with cattle around it. One of my favourite artists is an aerial photographer - Richard Woldendorp - maybe i'll get up there again and take some better photographs. Looking at the land from an aeriel perspective certainly shows the reality of this dry land! It was amazing and quite fun to land and take off and turn on quite an angle at times...it did make my head spin a little!

Red & Blue

Today we went for a bit of a drawing trek along the river, i was joined by two budding artists very keen to use some watercolours and chat along the way :)

Coral Bay

First weekend of the school holidays: Coral Bay

I think we were the only ones in the caravan park with such a simple set up (2 swags & a mattress) but we had a wonderful weekend relaxing on the beach, snorkling, kayaking and playing volleyball.

Sunset climb

We decided to get away from the station for a few hours one saturday night, so we trekked through the bush to these big rock formations to climb to the top and watch the sun set. We were a little late but still got up there in time to enjoy  the beautiful sky & munch on our freshly cooked savoury scrolls & quiche. The walk down in the dark was interesting & one of the workers caughts a kangaroo by the tail on our drive back! The atmosphere between the workers on this station is great!

Visual Diary

My art on this station has begun! I made this visual diary over several episodes of Wives & Daughters and am so keen to fill it with bits and pieces of my art. I began by heading on an adventure to the Lyndon river  (which is now bone dry) to spend a few hours drawing/watercolouring and collecting.
